Lee Trethowan has been named the “Zone 9 Bowler of the Year”.
Don Wall, president of the Asquith Men’s Bowling Club has won the Senior Club Personality for 2009. This is a wonderful recognition of the years of hard work that Don has put into Asquith Bolwing Club. Well desedved and well done. We are all proud of Don.
Congratulations to Lee Trethowan and John Campton who reached the finals of the State Pairs and played exciting bowls to lose by 1 shot. Well done to both these young men who progressed through Asquith Junior Bowling Club.
Asquith Bowling & Recreation Club paid tribute to 15 years of service from outgoing chairman Warwick Rogers at their AGM held on Sunday 18th October 2009. Warwick resigned in July this year. A formal presentation was made of a pictorial tribute to the achievements under Warwick’s chairmanship and the auditorium was formally named ‘The Warwick Rogers Auditorium’ as a truely lasting tribute to his meritorious and tireless service.
Warwick was amongst the first to congratulate the incoming chairman, David Haynes.

Asquith Bowling & Recreation Club is proud to be the Clubs NSW Small Club of the Year 2007, as well as winning the awards for Outstanding Support of the Local Community and Encouragement of Amateur Sport. In 2008 we are proud to have won a “Highly Commended” award from ClubsNSW for Environmental Sustainability. This is a great achievement because we had opposition from clubs of all sizes throughout the State, not just small clubs.
